Our annual ‘bring and share’ winter lunch party will be on Saturday 10th January at 12.15 until 3pm.  We have booked the Parish Centre at Little St Mary’s again this year.  Details to follow.

Following the cancellation of the triathlon the pool will now close on Friday 19th September with reduced opening hours from Monday 15th.  Please check the Better website for details:

The usual informal end of season bring and share picnic will be from 2pm on Sunday 14th Sept (last Sunday of the season) at the pool.

We have just heard that the triathlon event using the pool, scheduled for 28th Sept, has been cancelled.  This was a factor in keeping the pool open, albeit on reduced hours, until the 28th. Nothing on the Better (GLL) website yet but hearing from Friends may make the difference between a 14th or 28th closing date.  They have a contact form at:

Staff at the pool tell us that ‘holiday’ opening times run until Sunday 7th. From Monday 8th ‘term’ opening times apply for one week until Sunday 14th.  Thereafter, up to and including Sunday 28th a schedule of reduced opening times will apply.  Details are to be decided this week.  On Sunday 28th a junior triathlon swim will take place at the pool but staff tell us that one lane will be available for public use.  Just in case any of this changes, please check direct with the pool.
